Why is Ford recalling certain Bronco hardtops and replacing them at no charge?
Your Bronco may have and exposed or unsealed hardtop roof panel edge that may allow water or humidity to be absorbed by the hard top panel. This may cause an unsatisfactory appearance if exposed to extreme water and humidity. This concern is strictly an appearance issue as the function of the roof is uncompromised.
What Ford and Encinitas Ford will do for you.
Ford has authorized Encinitas Ford to replace all the hard top roof panels and install new rear quarter glass in the new rear cap on your vehicle free of charge under this recall. The liftgate window glass and if equipped, the roof rack and/or other roof mounted accessories will be transferred to the new roof assembly.
This program will be in effect until September 30, 2022 regardless of mileage. Coverage is automatically transferred to subsequent owners.
How long will it take?
The time needed for this repair is less than one-half day. However, due to service scheduling requirements, we may need your vehicle for a little longer.
